Banja Luka: Zimzograd this year on three locations

In the heart of Banja Luka, for five years in a row, Zimzograd is organized, which, during December and early January, brings a special winter spell to the city on the river Vrbas. This year’s Zimzograd, which will be held from December 1 until January 2 next year, brings a lot of novelties, and the organizers, Mint Banja Luka and Banja Luka Tourist Organization (TOBL), promise content for the whole family, young generations and all visitors from the country and the region.

– This winter-tourist event is held on the main square of the city, Krajina Square, and lasts for a month, during New Year’s and Christmas holidays. It brings the festive magic to the citizens of Banja Luka, as well as tourists who are staying in this city at the time. It combines European practice with domestic quality and creativity and offers visitors plenty of contents – entertainment, music and great mood. The event became part of the city’s tourist offer. In addition to the gastronomic offer, there are concerts of local and regional bands, playgrounds and numerous educational and creative workshops for the youngest, modernly decorated ice rink, amusement park, promotion of creative handicrafts, humanitarian action and other things – employees of TOBL said.

Marko Sinikovic, a spokesman for Zimzograd, said that more than 60 exhibitors from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina will take part at this year’s Zimograd.

– They will complement the diversity of the offer and satisfy all the senses of our visitors. Zimzograd has recorded incredible attendance in previous years, and this year we have completed our program with Fanta Meet Up and the stars of the YouTube scene that will be held on Kralja Petra I Karadjordjevica Street between the Krajina Square and the park Petar Kocic. In December we will have six teenage YouTube stars Mudja and Cale, Yasserstain, Marija Zezelj, Zvoganj, Davor Gerbus and Jana Dacovic. We decided to take this step because we noticed that the new generations surpassed the expectations of Zimzograd with last year’s meeting with Jana Dacovic, which lasted more than seven hours – said Sinikovic.

As part of this year’s daily program, DJs, tambura players, saxophonists, duo and trio groups and their performances will be part of the After Work party program.

Banja Luka Zimzograd is decorated by tens of thousands of lights and light effects, and along the Krajina Square, all visitors can enjoy a rich and varied offer in forty houses, where a variety of things can be found, ranging from toys, souvenirs, unique handicrafts to food products.
