International Jazz Fest Sarajevo music festival will be held in Sarajevo from 31st of October to 5th of November.
For this year’s edition Jazz Fest has prepared more than 20 concerts including the special program Musick and Magick of John Zorn, who will present 12 ensembles in ten different concerts from chamber music to heavy metal fusion in three days.
Legendary guitarist and singer James Blood Ulmer, icons of improvized music, bassist William Parker and drummer Hamid Drake, as well as prominent mid-generation musicians like Swedish saxophonist Mats Gustafsson, as well as new stars such as Austrian Compost 3, Belgian Dans Dansili, Group Thumbscrew with guitarist Mary Halvorson will play too.
Most of the musicians come from the United States, and they will hold 15 concerts.
Within Jazz Fest Sarajevo projects of Bosnian musicians will be presented – Banja Luka man living and working in Switzerland, Mario Batković and Zenica lady with permanent address in Austria, Nataša Mirković, who will perform the Sephardic repertoire in the trio En El Amor with Michel Godard playing serpent and percussionist Jarrod Cagwin.

We are proud of this rich and varied program, and we are extremely happy that this year as well we will have some of the most important musicians of our time performing at the festival. Tickets for Jazz Fest were available already in June this year, and the design of the Jazz Fest Sarajevo poster is signed by Ajna Zlatar.
