The Tourist Board of Sarajevo Canton, after a two-year break due to the corona virus pandemic, is organizing an original and unforgettable New Year’s party with the City Administration of the City of Sarajevo, and the ultra-popular Dubioza Kolektiv will take care of it. We expect that with this New Year’s Eve in front of the Eternal Fire, Sarajevo will once again become a hit destination for the New Year and justify the epithet of the center of the region.
We invite all lovers of good music and entertainment to welcome the New Year in Sarajevo and promise an unforgettable welcome, a fantastic atmosphere, and a lot of fun, with one of the best and most famous bands. We are encouraged by the fact that Sarajevo is also recognized in the world as an attractive destination and is on the list of the best cities for New Year’s Eve. Namely, the websites Big 7 Travel and Enjoy Travel selected the list of European cities for the best time in New Year’s Eve, and the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in the 22nd position.
Winter calendar of events
The Tourist Board of the Canton of Sarajevo has issued a public call for the “Sarajevo Winter Fest” for this winter tourist season as well, based on which it forms a rich winter calendar of events. Namely, based on last year’s positive experience, when thanks to the projects from the public call we had the richest tourist content during the winter, this winter tourist season we offer tourists and citizens quality and attractive contents in the field of tourism, culture, entertainment, sports, and various manifestations.
The mentioned contents will be tempting for the realization of a greater number of tourist arrivals and enjoyment in the city and on the Olympic mountains, based on which we will have an extended winter tourist season. City lights and decorations create the winter warmth
At the time of the holidays, decorations give a special charm to the city. The Tourist Board of CS, following world trends with the aim of enriching and improving the tourist offer, implemented a project of procurement of holiday lights and decoration, attractive for photography and promotion of the destination.
In addition to interesting luminous 3D inscriptions #sarajevo, which are currently adorning the square across from the City Hall and the square in front of the Sarajevo City Center, attracting the attention of tourists and passers-by in a special decorative winter magic, citizens and tourists also enjoy in front of the Sarajevo City Market. Thanks to the CS Tourist Board, 3D sleighs, deer, glaciers, decorated Christmas trees, luminous balls have been placed on Sarajevo’s busy streets, squares, and other attractive locations. During the winter period, the decoration trend will be maintained, for which additional quantities of decorative elements are planned to be procured.
