Zlatan Muslimović: Besides my family, golf takes the first place in my life

Zlatan Muslimović has been awakening high spirit of Bosnians and Herzegovinians for years, and recently he has been active in a completely new sport – golf.

Namely, the phenomenal striker, who has played a rich career for Udinese, Perugia, Ascoli, Padova, Rimini, Messina, Parma, Atalanta, PAOK, Chinese Renhe, Zavrc, Koper, has been playing golf for fun, for many years, and he starts to deal with this sport in a professional way.

– I was always interested in this sport, but naturally, football had an advantage. I think i will do some more serious golfing in the future, because it is never too late for golf. This is a sport for all generations, so I believe that many years of playing are ahead of me – says Muslimović, who was born on March 6, 1981 in Banja Luka.

The former football player of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina points out that there is a huge difference between football and golf, and hopes that with the new sport he will have at least some success, as he had when playing football.

– I’m the new to this. We have good players in B&H and we are all trying to have more of them. I am using this opportunity to thank Jasmin Selmanagić for making this beautiful complex in Sarajevo, which is on a world level. Considering the fact that many sports institutions in B&H do not invest in sports and they pay very little attention to it,  this is really phenomenal – Zlatan continues.

Muslimović adds that golf is becoming more and more popular in our country, but also in the region, so the competition will be getting stronger.

– Golf is one of the oldest and most popular sports on the planet, and it has more and more fans in our country. Currently, in addition to the golf course in Sarajevo, there are smaller ones in Posušje and Zavidovići. In our country, there is a golf association with six clubs with about 200 registered players. Besides my family, golf takes the first place in my life – said Muslimović at the end of the conversation.
