Sanski Most: Hikmet Kurbegović employs people in his hometown

After staying in Switzerland where he gained experience in the real sector, from the first day of his return Hikmet Kurbegović turned to investing and creating jobs in his hometown, Sanski Most.

– I returned to Sanski Most, where we estblished ECK, today we have a building with more than 1,000 square meters and a storage space of 2,000 square meters. We managed to hire 70 workers, and I realized that it was time for expansion and new investments. Sanski Most had a workforce, people needed a job, and the experience from Switzerland led me to try to do everything to keep people here and start a business that will provide a new opportunity for young people – said Kurbegović.

The company that deals with metalworking – CNC LAB Kurbegović started in June 2016. The story that mechanical machining of metals for single, small and series production at CNC machining centers is an industry that has potential in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

– The launch of CNC LAB was my wish to develop Sanski Most economy and open the chance for new partnerships and cooperation. We process light metals such as aluminum, copper, brass, and we also work with plastics. We are a high quality company that can fulfill expectations and demands of customers – adds Kurbegović.

CNC LAB is among the companies selected by the USAID Project “Diaspora Invest” to support investment and employment. Kurbegović’s support means a lot.

– To get a grant and participate in financing of procurement of equipment, it makes work easier for every businessman. I am glad to see that our efforts are recognized by the local community and now (through this project) and by USAID – says Kurbegović.
