The business success of the BIMAL edible oil production plant started in 2002 when STUDEN Holding took over the company in Brčko. Re-launching of the production meant complete modernization of the plant, investment in personnel and resources of the company, but also the improvement of the quality of edible oil, which today meets the standards of European and world markets.
BIMAL today has 235 employees, and since 2002, the capacity of processing oilseeds has been upgraded from 26,000 tons per year to todays 120,000 tons of processed seeds.
BIMAL Company has a strategic vision of developing and placing its products in new markets, including the markets on which it is already present, but others.
Since quality and production capacity create conditions for BIMAL’s output to the world markets, the company’s products are present in Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Macedonia, Austria, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon and Israel. BIMAL delivered its edible oils to customers in China and Malaysia.
The BIMAL edible oil production plant is part of the STUDEN Holding Agro industrial Complex in Brčko, which is one of the largest agro-industrial complexes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The determination of STUDEN Holding that investment in quality has become an imperative in all business decisions was a prerequisite for creating a leading position in the market, and successful business was built with the continuous and consistent production of high quality edible oil from the seeds of all three oilseeds, sunflowers, soybeans and rapeseed.
In addition to placing its products on foreign markets, BIMAL seeks to act responsibly towards the country where the company’s production center is located. Therefore, BIMAL yearly supports the campaign “Buy and use domestic products” and continues to advocate for the purchase of products made in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to the existence of one million hectares of non-cultivated land in Bosnia and Herzegovina, BIMAL last year cooperated with the Institute for Development and Improvement of Agricultural Production – IRUP Brčko to work together on the creation of a domestic raw material base, hence the engagement of domestic producers and farmers, increasing the number of employed persons.
Since BIMAL’s production capacities enable global development, BIMAL has begun a new stage in the investment cycle in the food industry in the Western Balkans region, and plans to realize more than 20 million BAM of new investments.
