Nothing can convey an event or an experience to us like a good photograph. They say that one photo speaks more than 1,000 words, and we have convinced you countless times that this is indeed the case. Sometimes you must wait several hours or even days for a good photo. The charm of photography is that you never know the outcome of the shoot.
Bosnia and Herzegovina and its nature is a paradise for passionate photographers, but also for amateurs who try to portray the beauty of the homeland in the best possible way and send the best and most beautiful picture to the world and to those who would like to visit it.
Great privilege
Miodrag Gajić, a 43-year-old from Banja Luka, is one of those who do an excellent job. He tells Visit BiH Magazine that he started photography about 15 years ago.
– It’s out of pure love. As a child I loved to draw, which later turned into love for photography – says Miodrag, whose photos you can see on his Instagram profile miso_81.
His most often motifs are the natural beauty and destinations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We ask him, therefore, how inspiring our country is for photographers.
-Bosnia and Herzegovina is very inspiring for photography, it has a lot of natural beauty and sights. Being a photographer and ambassador through the lens of a country with enormous natural beauty is really a great privilege – Miodrag tells us.
In search of the best possible photo, Miodrag traveled all over Bosnia and Herzegovina. Although he is fascinated by what he sees on the field every day, he still puts his hometown first.
– The natural beauty that Jajce possesses, including one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world, few cities have – he emphasizes.
And what, in his opinion, is necessary for a good photograph?
Artistic gene
– To take a good photo you need love first, and inspiration. A good photograph must have a soul and its own story. It must have some message that it carries to reach the one who observes it – says Miodrag.
According to him, to become a top photographer, a person must first love photography and have an innate talent for it.
– One must have an artistic gene, be born with it. I have a habit of saying “you don’t become a photographer; you are born one” – he emphasizes.
He says that photography is his passionate hobby, and that he does it for his own soul, as well as for the soul of true photography lovers. He says that he never thought of doing photography professionally and commercially. Therefore, his plan is to continue photographing the natural beauty of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to be an ambassador of beauty through the camera lens.
