Hotels, as major tourist and catering potentials of any environment, be it small or large, represent places around which all important events in life take place. Whether it is an ordinary person or a wider social community, starting from first birthday celebrations, weddings, to celebrations of significant dates and events in the history of those environments.
Since its opening in 1978, the Hotel Park in Jablanica has been a place-memorial of a time, an observer of all the events, both beautiful and ugly, that this small community went through, which gives it a status symbol of an indispensable interlocutor. This was said by Edhem Babić, director of the Park Hotel, at the beginning of the interview for Visit BiH Magazine.
In the middle of this year, the redesigned Hotel Park was opened under a new name and with a new owner. Can you tell us what’s new in the hotel?
– The opening of the hotel itself was preceded by a total reconstruction of all areas, which changed the entire color of the former hotel. The hotel has gone through a complete redesign, which includes modern facilities and improved spaces suitable for all profiles of our guests, allowing them to find a corner for themselves. A special focus was placed on the modernization of the interior by creating zones, both for leisurely sipping drinks, enjoying the rich wine list of the wine shop, and for drinking hot drinks in the city pub enriched with fresh air from the neighboring park, while the a la carte restaurant with dishes is in charge of surprising tastes of domestic and continental cuisine. The spa center with a saltwater pool and sauna, as well as spacious conference rooms, received their redesign and refreshment. All in all, we sought to return to our city a modern and luxurious facility so that the role of preserver of time would continue. We think we succeeded.
What are the reactions and impressions of the guests and how satisfied are you with the hotel’s work so far?
–Guests reacted very positively, praising the comfort of the rooms, the quality of service and the attention we pay to details in every segment of the hotel. We are extremely satisfied with these reactions because they confirm that we meet their expectations. Feedback allows us to constantly improve the quality of the service and adjust the offer.
What are the principles of Park Hotel’s successful business?
– Our business is based on maximum guest satisfaction. This includes constantly monitoring their needs, improving our staff through training and working on innovative solutions to provide each guest with a superior experience. The approach to business is based on achieving a high standard of quality through continuous monitoring of trends in tourism.
What are the facilities, that is, what is offer of the hotel?
-Hotel Park offers comfortable rooms and luxury apartments, a restaurant with rich gastronomic offer, a wine room, a city coffee bar, conference rooms equipped for business meetings, and a wellness center with a swimming pool, sauna and massages. Hotel Park is the only hotel in Jablanica. Is that an advantage or could the competition be good?
– This gives us the opportunity to build a unique identity and recognition among guests. Our position allows us to provide an exclusive experience and build guest loyalty, which is one of the most important segments in relation to potential competition, regardless of where it is located.
The growth of tourism has been recorded in Jablanica in recent years, and the geographical position and rich cultural and historical heritage guarantee an additional rise in tourism. How much can a hotel like this help the additional development of tourism?
– As we are focused on constantly improving the quality of service and content, we thereby additionally contribute to the attractiveness of Jablanica as a tourist destination. Hotel Park plays a significant role in improving tourism in Jablanica. With its offer, it attracts a diverse group of guests, from business guests to lovers of nature and cultural sights. Our hotel, with spaces for conferences and cultural events, represents a gathering center of various categories of guests, which additionally contributes to the development of business and cultural tourism in Jablanica.
What are the plans for the future?
– The Hotel has been operating in this form for about half a year and we could feel the pulse of the various needs of our guests. As we want to launch various tourist attractions with our municipality, the need to expand accommodation capacities is also indicated so that we can respond to the standards of modern tourist facilities. In this regard, we are planning to expand the accommodation, wellness and congress facilities, so the next season will be much better prepared and of better quality. A special and permanent task is to invest in the quality of service and infrastructure to become recognizable for excellence and remain a favorite destination for guests visiting Jablanica.
