They say that a photo is worth a thousand words, and countless times we have been convinced that this is indeed the case. Nothing can convey an event or an experience to us like a good photograph. Sometimes you have to wait several hours or even days for a good photo.
Bosnia and Herzegovina and its nature is a paradise for passionate photographers, but also for amateurs who want to take the best possible photos and record some moments that they will remember or simply post on social media.
All those photos, especially those that end up on social media, promote Bosnia and Herzegovina and send to the world all those beauties that leave no one indifferent.
Instagram profile
One such photographer is Enhad Goralija. This 43-year-old from Sarajevo has been involved in photography since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Given that movement was restricted during the pandemic, Enhad, like most of us, found freedom in nature.
He told Visit BiH Magazine that he found inspiration in the natural beauty of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He immediately felt the desire to record those magical moments and share them with others. In the beginning, he did it occasionally, and then he opened an Instagram profile @_goropro_ where he posted everything he recorded. Hard work and love for nature and photography brought him more than 16,000 followers.
– On this Instagram profile I share my works and the people who follow me are more than satisfied with what I do. This pushed me to dedicate myself even more to this work and now I provide photography services for different occasions – Enhad tells us.
We asked him how inspiring Bosnia and Herzegovina is for photographers. He says that every corner of our country awakens incredible inspiration.
– Bosnia and Herzegovina offers diverse landscapes – mountains, rivers, historical cities. Every corner has its own unique beauty, which provides inexhaustible inspiration for photography – he points out.
Is there a destination that particularly inspired Enhad, as well as enchanted him?
– It is difficult to single out just one destination, but one of the places that particularly impressed me was Livno and a visit to wild horses on Mount Cincar. Its natural beauty, peace and tranquility literally took my breath away – he emphasizes.
Hobby and profession
Among amateur photographers, the most common dilemma is how much time is needed for a good photo. Is it about that specific moment or is it necessary to wait for hours and be ready.
-Good photography requires a combination of timing and patience. Sometimes you have to wait for hours to catch the right moment, but when it happens, all the effort is worth it. Sometimes you have to walk a lot to get to the perfect location for a photo – says Enhad.
Photography is currently his hobby, but everything has “gone too far” and now he is thinking about turning it into a profession. He says his passion for photography is growing day by day.
– In the future, I plan to continue exploring new locations and develop my photography skills. Maybe one day I will organize an exhibition of my works. Photography gives me the opportunity to capture the beauty of the world around me through the lens. I always strive to show nature and destinations in a way that will inspire others to visit and experience them – says Enhad at the end of the conversation.
